Product Overview
The DFW‑12 high‑voltage cable branch box is an outdoor medium‑voltage cable distribution and junction enclosure for 12 kV power networks. It adopts a fully sealed stainless steel cabinet. Cables can enter from the bottom or side. This compact weatherproof unit offers cable branching, junction and test access points. Its internal busbar connects multiple cable circuits via plug‑in cable connectors. Operators can quickly connect or disconnect cables without shutting down the whole network. Every circuit is fitted with independent earthing switches and voltage indicators to support safe maintenance. This branch box works as a standard medium‑voltage distribution node for urban grids, industrial parks and residential power systems.

Key Advantages
- Fully Sealed Weatherproof Design
304 stainless steel enclosure reaches IP44 protection class. Silicone rubber cable glands block water and dust. It runs reliably outdoors from -40°C to +40°C. - Plug‑in Cable Connectors
European‑style plug‑in connectors allow fast cable connection and disconnection under no‑load conditions. They cut installation and maintenance time by roughly 50 % versus traditional bolted connections. - Compact Modular Configuration
The modular busbar supports 2‑way, 3‑way, 4‑way and multi‑way branching inside one cabinet. It accepts cable cross‑sections up to 400 mm². - Integrated Safety Features
Each circuit comes with an independent earthing switch, voltage indicator and fault passage indicator. Operators can carry out safe maintenance and locate faults quickly without extra external devices.
Application Fields
- Urban Distribution Networks — cable branching and junction nodes for underground 10 kV / 12 kV urban power grids
- Industrial Parks — cable distribution for industrial zones and factory complexes with multiple feeders
- Residential Areas — medium‑voltage cable supply for residential communities and building clusters
- Commercial Districts — cable junction points for malls, office towers and business hubs
- Infrastructure — power distribution for street lighting, traffic signals and public utility networks

Structure & Details
- Stainless Steel Enclosure
This cabinet uses 1.5‑2 mm thick 304 stainless steel with double‑wall structure and electrostatic powder coating. It delivers good corrosion resistance and mechanical protection for outdoor mounting. - Internal Busbar System
Insulated copper or aluminium busbars split incoming power into multiple outgoing feeders via plug‑in connector interfaces. - Plug‑in Cable Connectors
European‑style 630 A plug‑in units adopt silicone rubber insulation. They provide fully insulated cable termination and allow fast connect‑disconnect operations. - Earthing Switches
Every circuit has its own earthing switch. Technicians can safely earth cables during maintenance. Mechanical interlocks prevent earthing on live circuits. - Cable Entry Chamber
Cables enter from bottom or side through a removable cover and gland plate. Separate sealing glands serve each cable entry point.

Functions & Purposes
- Cable Branching & Junction
The inner busbar divides incoming medium‑voltage power into multiple outgoing feeders. Users can expand networks and connect several cables within a single cabinet. - Load‑Free Cable Switching
Plug‑in connectors support connection and disconnection under no‑load conditions. Teams can reconfigure feeders or replace cables without power cuts to other circuits. - Safe Cable Earthing
Independent earthing switches supply reliable earthing points for each circuit during maintenance. Mechanical interlocks ensure earthing can only take place after circuit de‑energization. - Fault Passage Indication
Built‑in fault passage indicators detect short‑circuit and earth‑fault currents. Visual feedback helps field crews locate faults and restore power quickly.
